I was in Dahl’s Facility at the radio control centre whilst the mission was occurring. I was listening to the radio chatter as usual whilst doing paperwork. The reception this weekend hasn’t been great, maybe it was the rad storms, but there seemed to be more static and interference than usual.
The mission proceeded as normal, I believe there was a standard tactical party split to take the factory however there seemed to be far more enemy combatants than expected, and the fight was not going well, with many operatives injured and in need of medical assistance.
At this point I heard FEF members outside of the control centre and I met Major Hook, John Fox and a few others. I informed them that I believed the mission was having difficulties, and 3 or 4 operatives, mostly soldiers I believe, started gearing up to go and assist if they could.
Back at the centre I used the radio to inform the mission that a few reinforcements were on the way.
I am unfortunately unsure of the exact order of the following events, I shall minute radio communications in the future.
Drone support had been requested, I believe by Quinn, and they did arrive and assist.
As I understood the chatter, Major Hook and the others were able to get to the scene and assist.
Some operatives, Engineer Decker was named, were believed to have died having been injured and without assistance for too long.
The operatives, with Major Hook and the others then resumed the original objectives.
Despite the assistance and drone support the enemy defensives at the factory were too substantial and the team fell trying to achieve the mission objectives.
The only operatives to return were those who had been unable to make it to the factory and had returned to the command centre prematurely.
