Bunker Victoria, Lady Armitage and Burnt Ghosts
During Operation Dissolution, Lady Armitage came to Fort Barney in secret. She explained she conducting a coup against Simmerson (the person that claimed fort Ned and whose nephew was the Victorian Knight we killed)
Over the winter I put out a message that I wanted to talk to Network. I have used the fact the bug Dante is killing me as a reason I would be willing to talk to Network.
During Operation Purgatory on Saturday morning Preacher reached out to some traders to come and bring items that Fort Barney needed to operate.
Vasilka of the Burnt Ghosts and Stitches her guard who was originally from Bunker Victoria arrived.
I wish to state for the record that the UC treaty of 2525 between the UC, the Burnt Ghosts, and the Ash Horde specifically states that the Burnt Ghosts can go about their trading free and unhindered so the fact they are trading with Network Bunkers Ardent, Colossus and Victoria is not something that is against the UC. They have in fact become a vital line of communication.
Vasilka brought information that Simmerson is still in charge at Victoria and that the bulk of the soldiers (the poor) live on the surface and the bunker was just for the rich folk. She also brought a lot of items for trade to fix Fort Barney, and to buy Ash a new BioRes as he lost his on mission, which I paid for with pictures of maps so Vasilka could extend their knowledge of potential trading partners and my own salvage. Of note, there was a old bunker Fortitude radio that Kreige spotted and before it was used to fix Barney. Ned has pulled the frequencies off the radio so it can be checked if anyone is still using them, as it’s a theory that Fortitude Specialists could still be operating out here. Also of note the BioRes that she brought was from Bunker Integrity which is an abandoned bunker, so there may be more useful salvage to find there.
Vasilka also told me that Kreige and I would be met by Network on the Sunday morning mission. There have been very heated council discussions across the surface deployment about the sense of trying to get information from Network. Any report that I used a Toxin coated blade on Kriege should be disregarded as I can categorically state that I did not on Sunday morning’s mission.
Just outside of the Sheffield crater Lady Armitage and her bodyguard met Kreige and I. She offered us a place in Victoria which I turned down.
Lady Armitage wants rid of Simmerson who currently leads Victoria and has asked for our assistance to do it. She says she can get Simmerson to take the field where we can deal with him, and she will then take over. She repeated this to General Clay.
She agreed to negotiations on a treaty of non aggression between the UC and Victoria after Simmerson is taken down. She is currently feeding her people, and ensuring they have better kit like gas masks and medical supplies. One of Kreige’s requirements for any kind of assistance between our two peoples was a baseline of looking after all the Victorian people, not just the rich. She has also stated specifically that we are not to slaughter the army wholesale. If there are unwarranted and unjustified deaths she will pull out of the treaty negotiations and make no mistake, she will try to destroy the UC. She could be a good ally, she will be a cold, sensible and thoughtful enemy if we get this wrong. Whatever treaty happens, we cannot forget that Victoria is and will remain at least for the foreseeable future a Network Bunker.
She has asked for documentation such as a diplomacy charter of where we stand and with who on the surface which Artemis and I will be putting together.
Can anyone that believes they have any information on any Network Specialists that may still be operating no matter how tenuous please send me the information.
As a thank you for attending, I gave Lady Armitage the information that what we believed to be a new ancestor had arisen and was taking control of the Pact. To show her willingness to work with us on information, she is pulling her people away from Pact lands so they cannot be affected, and checking her people for psionic influences.
