The 500 Bunker Ascendant citizens on the surface awoke to grim news this morning as a council statement was released during the night:
“After months of investigation and assessment, the Engineering department has reported that the resource cost of repairing the damage inflicted by the terrorist attack is simply beyond our means at this present time.
The council has taken the decision to focus resources on defence of the Bunker and our inhabitants on the surface, while we seek further resources and solutions”
Understandably, this news has not been well received on the surface, with a demonstration launched within hours of the news breaking. It wasn’t long before violence broke out; at least 4 security personnel have been injured, with one suffering ‘life changing injuries’. A number of arrests have been made.
