Introduction
With the aid of the Psi Scanner we were able to locate the target code named “The Witch,” and capture her alive.
A very powerful Psion, she was able to enslave tribesman and bend them to her will. She is currently incapacitated with a device Laker created to freeze her brain.
Biological samples showed that the target was infested with nanites that were transforming her bones into metal. Additionally, there were large amounts of Compound 7 in her body that made her body toxic to touch. We are not able to determine her level of psychic potential as the Psi Scanner has not encountered any subjects as powerful as this. An invasive approach is required. We do not know the true identity of the subject however, an audio file deciphered by Vasili has made us suspect that her name is Isobel. Additionally, my encounters with psychics on the field suggest that there is a psychic consciousness in play. The savages refer to them as the Ancestors and are guided by them. In the bunker they are known as the Psychics.
Are there any external influences on the subject? Could this explain her actions or does the gift drive them to madness?
Project Goals and research findings
There are multiple goals based on on the research into this:
1) To identify the subject known as the “The Witch” and confirm her identity. Is she the person known as Isobel?
There is nothing to confirm that the subject’s name is or isn’t Isobel.
2) To use the tissue samples to identify how the Adamanites (clever I know) in her body work and how they are altering her bones to become metal. We also need to see how Compound 7 interacts with her body and how she has not died yet.
This is where it becomes very strange. We have identified a circular process. Firstly, the Witch uses Biokinesis (one of the 3 identified psychic disciplines, the other 2 being telepathy and telekinesis) to manipulate and agitate the C7 in her body. The C7 then ‘changes’ into a organic substance. The C7 is then picked up by the nanites, and through a combination of Nanite manipulation and Biokinesis the C7 is used to change and augment the Witch’s body. The new enhanced body then enables the Witch to become capable of higher levels of performance and higher levels of transformation, making the process exponential in nature. She then begins the circle anew. How this is possible sits beyond our current levels of understanding; however, we believe that C7 may actually be a ‘Chimera’ material, capable of assuming many forms when properly manipulated. The missing piece of the puzzle however, is the why. Why is the Witch doing this, and how does she have the knowledge to do so?
3) A biopsy onto the live subject to determine how powerful she is, what she is capable of exactly and how we can better protect ourselves from psychic influence (shielding ourselves and/ or dampening their abilities). I also want to see if there are also external psychic energy readings involved (could she also be influenced?). I can also then compare her to another psychically gifted person.
Based on our studies so far, we believe that Psychic power appears logarithmic in nature; as one pursues higher levels of enlightenment, their power increases exponentially. Thus a ‘level 5’ Psion would be 10-15 times more powerful than a ‘level 1’ Psion. We believe therefore, that a Psion approaching ‘level 10’ would be capable of god-like manipulations of their environment and the living beings around them. We believe from your studies that -REDACTED- is approximate to a level 2 Psion, whereas the Witch sits at a 5 or 6.
4) To review the data from the Psi Scanner to explain how this works and present a guide to those that have not used it before (idea is to teach Lexi the Psi discipline as well as any other scientist who wishes to buy the discipline).
We have created a document based on our studies so far and have begun to teach the PSI specialist discipline to others.
5) Project Archimedes: I believe that Project Archimedes was a Global Psi Scanner by observing the participants in the Dream Suites. How were they trying to implement this exactly? Were they trying to do so by making people use the VR machines or was this detected by the Satellite somehow? How was the first satellite disabled and also it possible to get the software for the AI detection software? This may be useful in upgrading the Psi-Scanner or using the AI to keep track of recorded Psionics. Also the Dream Suite had headphones used by the Psionic Witch, what exactly was their function? We also need information on Ribec Research and Dept 380.
The headbands are very sophisticated and sensitive brainwave recording devices. We believe, based on our studies and PSI device, that they seek to detect psychic ability and use but that would be through the analysis of the data, which we believe the AI programme was capable of undertaking.
Other conjecture
I believe that there is a psychic consciousness or gestalt as we know of the Ancestors and the Psychica. Is this the Order of the Ascendant?
