So here I am again. Still alive, still fighting fit (mostly), still supporting our allies and making our enemies miserable.
Not much has changed in my outlook here. I believe I’ve been walking the talk, but you lot can be the judge of that…
Firstly, here is last year’s commitments:
So what now?
We need to get our shit together. Individually, I’m always proud of our soldiers. We are loyal, unwavering and reliable, as well as being brutal and unforgiving. Model citizens if you ask me.
But collectively, we are lacking in direction. I place some of that blame at my feet, surely. It’s difficult when there is seemingly no clear overall objective. But now there is.
Project Unity.
Several months ago, I sat with other Council members – both Fortitude and Ascendant – and we jotted out a plan. A list of objectives, that would lead to something greater. I wrote down the plan as we talked, and ever since I’ve been working with others to nudge us along this route.
But Unity is also the name of another, Fortitude-specific project that has existed for a number of years. Without going into too many details, we believe there are a number of intact communication satellites in orbit around the planet that can be used to contact other survivors further afield – hundreds, thousands of miles away, even in other countries and continents.
We now believe we have the means to make meaningful progress towards this goal. If we can achieve this, along with some of the objectives outlined above, I firmly believe that Fortitude (and Ascendant, if they are willing) can be at the centre of dragging our country back out of the muck and blood, and we can work towards re-uniting humanity on a larger scale beyond this ridiculous merry-go-round of piss-pot politics we call a life today.
So my objectives are simple:

HOPE
UNITY
