The Pre-Fall Solider
Friday Evening while a team had gone to meet and negotiate with the cutlery clan Super mutants, we received a distressed signal from near Fort Ned. Upon reaching the location we found a power armored individual surrounded by pieces of what appeared to be a cryo-pod. The individual was unconscious and non responsive. The power armor was significantly better put together than most bunkers can manage and bore the symbols of the UK.US. Marine Corps.
The solider was in a dire state and needed 2 med patch and two tox rem patch to bring into a stable condition. Too heavy to carry back to fort ned the decision was taken to wake them up there and deal with the situation as is presented itself.
Once woken the solider identified themselves as Captain “paladin” Citadel of the Pre-fall UK.US Marine Corps. And asked to speak to the commander of the Freedom Expeditionary Forces.
The captain it seems was part of some classified pre-fall operation to freeze members of the military and have them be on the surface for the protection and help of the descendants of those that were in the bunkers.
Unfortunately I cant give more detailed information as the captain is sticking to old non existent protocols and considers all members of the bunkers to be “civilians” and will not give out any information to anyone without the appropriate security clearance. Elwood Brenner did have the required Clearance and did manage to have a conversation with the captain before his death. I believe it would be prudent for more members of the FEF to apply for this security clearance.
From what little information I could gain. Captain Citadel’s Standing orders are to help the Local FEF where possible and to make contact With the current version of the Pre fall UKUS government if anything of it still exists.
While the Captain is a man far out of time his intent to help the FEF seems genuine and he has proven himself a competent and honourable assist to our forces,
Recommendations: The captain should be integrated as a member of the FEF, but care should be taken to remember that the captain by his own admission will leave the FEF and fallow any given orders, should a Relevant command structure make contact with him. It should also be noted that the captain’s training and technology would be a valuable asset to the Ascendancy Forces and make him a Substantial Threat should he choose to turn on us.and I believe at least all the Fortitude Councillors should look towards gaining security clearance.
The Dahl Archives
We were tasked with engaging and drawing off some supermutants, we were perhaps a little over zealous originally and it seemed we killed them more than drew the off their path towards us. Eventually we managed to get a large group of them to follow us back to fort ned and the battle was rather long it was merely a fraction of the forces. Later that day we received a distress call from the Dahl Archive AI saying it was being attacked by A large contingent of super mutants and then we lose all contact.
We as drone control to Deploy one in the area and they reported back a group of super mutants around 36 attack the archives. A lot of damage had been done to the comms array.
Being too far for us to be of any use the councillors with us asked for Bunker ascendant to send out a team to deal with the situation. So far several MEMBERS of the FEF have fronted the Credits and Materials required to Fix the Archives Comms Array.
Bunker Victoria Power Armor
This mission itself was relatively mundane we were tasked with finding a route into bunker Victoria territory and causing some chaos, but it revealed a much larger problem and opportunity. We came up against a “knight” this solider had Power armor of the likes ive never seen before. It was pretty much impenetrable from the front. I am ashamed to say we could take the knight down and had to retreat. However we didn’t leave empty handed we retreated with 40k Pounds (some form of pre fall currency Victoria are obsessed with) and the knowledge of the new armor.
There has been a lot of discussion among FEF Volunteers on the next move. So far the intention seems to be to use propaganda and word of mouth to break the influence the “upper class” have over the rest of the inhabitants of the territory.
Recommendations: The inhabitants of victory Territory should be Offered the opportunity to surrender should they refuse we should eliminate them with extreme prejudice. Or more priority we need to get a hold of that power armor and learn how to recreate it.
notes of Comradery
The Former Hive Ash
he has proven to be a valuable member of the team on the surface, while it would still be prudent to keep a close eye on him, I can only attest to the efficiency and the effectiveness of his healing and keeping myself and the rest of the boys up.
Bunker Ascendant Hazard,
On the assault of Dr Richtofen’s lab, I was left in charge of the rear team by captain Anthony, I would however like to point out that most of the good ideas came from Hazard, the proved themselves to be a competent solider and calm and cool under pressure.
Councillor Sally fields.
I cant say as a solider ive ever really gotton on with bureaucrats, when ever I hit the deck Sally’s voice was there driving me forward or encouraging me to go on. Cant ask for more out of a leader than to drive you forward.
Captain Elwood Brenner
Gave His life in the fight against the Mutants, while I hadn’t known him long he was stout and true, and effective solider and a great sense of humour. His sacrifice will be remembered.
