UC Election 2525 – Capt. Franklin Clay – Military

Who am I?

I’ve been a soldier my entire adult life, mostly working Bunker security and escort duty. I signed up for the FEF about 18 months or so back after a surface operation took some fairly heavy losses. I tend to take point on surface missions, I’m currently operating as power armour heavy support, after a stint on marksman duty.

Why am I qualified?

I’m not convinced I am. I’ve never really dealt with the bureaucracy required for that level of command, and I’ve never been at the point where the buck truly stops with me. Anyone telling you they’re ready for that before they’ve experienced it is a liar.

I’ve led missions, including one that took casualties because of decisions I made. I’ve been instrumental in successes, I’ve been part of failures. I was part of the team that mortared a Tribal village out of existence. I was one of two gunmen that brought down supermutants carrying a device capable of wiping out the Blackhill Boys and their mine. I’ve saved several lives, I’ve had my own saved by many others. I’ve experienced every high and low the FEF has thrown at us. I’m still here and I’m still 100% behind the FEF’s mission.

As a small personal project I have been going through every report submitted by an FEF member since day one and building a searchable intelligence database. The first draft is more or less complete and whatever the outcome of the election I will continue that work. I would estimate I am currently about two to three weeks from opening the project up to other authors and editors within the FEF.

What do I believe?

The Unified Coalition, as it stands, is deeply flawed as an institution but I’ve yet to see anything better among the other communities out there. I believe we are the best placed community to lead humanity forwards into the future. I believe we offer more hope to people than any of our rivals, and I believe we have the greatest capacity to build something enduring.

But as I said, the UC is flawed. We need to address our diplomatic structures and put a diplomatic solution as our primary means of resolving all conflicts. If I am elected then I see my role as being our last resort when all other avenues have failed. As we expand the UC and bring other communities into our fold we need to ensure they share our values and that both communities are ready to learn what the other can teach. I have no wish to absorb people into our family whilst stripping them of their uniqueness.

What will I do?

My aim is to maintain what we have. Too often the FEF have found some shiny new toy too far away for us to properly maintain, with technology too tempting to pass up.  We’ve stretched ourselves thin and we’ve suffered for it. I firmly believe we need to expand, but it must be in a controlled, orderly fashion that we have the means to fully resource. We have acquired a great deal of powerful new technology whilst on surface operations but very little of it sees widespread use. The disaster at the Phoenix Kin village was in large part because the FEF team saw the opportunity to seize AEGIS technology and couldn’t pass it up. We need to adjust our mindset to put the preservation of what we have over the acquisition of more.

Final Words

All four councillors speak with equal voice. I intend to change that ever so slightly. My aim is to put the military at the service of the other three councillors as far as possible. Where they need to go, we will escort and defend them. I will always counsel caution, and the defence of what is ours, but I will go where I am needed, and I will lead the military where it is sent. I meant what I said about force of arms being our last resort and I will see that through at all levels.

UC Election 2525 – Capt. Riley Evans – Military

I’ve seen what happens when decisions don’t match reality. Out there, it’s not theories or ideals that keep people alive — it’s preparation, coordination, and the willingness to adapt when plans fall apart.

Conditions have changed. The threats are changing. The way we lead has to change with them. If we want to hold what we’ve built, we need clear objectives, communication across every group, and leadership that can act when it counts.

And when it comes to leadership, people deserve more than a single name on the list. This isn’t about me claiming to be the perfect one for the job — it’s about making sure there’s a real choice. No one should have to settle for what they’re handed.

If putting my name forward gives people another option, then that’s what I’m doing. Take it or leave it — that’s up to you. What matters is that the choice is yours to make.

UC Election 2525 – Capt. Tyler. A. Kriege – Military

“What a year it has been, huh?

Supermutants, scientists who are 500 years old, and yet another insane dictator.

Plus, the likely eradication of Hive Vulcan. We also achieved unification and took our first steps toward establishing a new society.

So, what’s next on the agenda?

For me, it’s about building a safe, strong, and unified country that collaborates with all coalition members, creating a community that feels like home for each and every citizen.

Whether in the lowest level of a bunker or on the surface, psionist or not. We will only thrive together

My focus will be on fortifying ourselves against both external and internal threats.

Exploring psionics and the ancients will be vital in nurturing a society where psionists can thrive without fear of discrimination, alongside a strong legal framework to protect all citizens from bad actors with harmful intentions no matter their station.

In addition, we will continue to merge all security, soldier, and warrior members of the coalition into a cohesive training force, ensuring a fundamental level of competence and training that enables us to collaborate effectively, allowing our individual skills to be utilized where they are most needed.

I will prioritize strong border patrols and efficient drone relays to ensure every inch of our territory is monitored, allowing you, the citizens of the UC, to move freely with the assurance that our borders are secure.

I will direct resources for the benefit of ALL citizens of the UC. and, as I have always done, I will hold all our citizens and the FEF accountable for their actions.

That is my goal and my commitment.

A Safe, Strong, and Unified Coalition!

Capt. Tyler. A. Kriege
